North Pearl Street

Nestled within the heart of the Historic Allentown District is North Pearl, a residential street packed with post civil war Italianates. Most of the surviving homes were built in the 19th century for Buffalo's upwardly mobile population. The city was booming during this time, and this immediate area north of downtown boasted some of Buffalo's best homes. Given the wealth of the homeowners of that era, each house displays beautiful and unique ornaments along the porch or front gable. Below is a collection of photographs from a recent stroll down the street, enjoy!
